Portland, OR Author Publishes Science Fiction Novel

Legend of the Maara, a new book by Patrick Castles, has been published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

While studying the distant planet of Earth, Maara, along with his teammates Chaperone, Jason Tabor, an archaeologist, is kidnapped and wakes up naked and alone in a plain white room with no visible door. He is soon joined by Mia, and after some time and study of their captors’ schedule, they manage to escape to a new planet. Eventually, a diverse total of nineteen other escort couples similarly appear, each with their own expertise. The questions abound. Why were they directed to this planet? How will they survive? They have the advantage of Earth’s history to lead them, but they came in naked and they’ll go that way. However, while they live they must explore, reinvent the wheel and build their first fire. But what about future generations? And what about punishing their captors – the Maara. Enjoy Legend of the Maara’s vibrant storytelling as these questions are answered.
